Volpin Props: Big Daddy (Bioshock).

Harrison Krix posted two awesome projects back in september, the first and larger of the two, by far, is this Big Daddy costume. Accompanied by his “Little Sister” AKA his fiancee,  Harrison donned this mammoth prop and strutted his stuff.

Kudos to Volpin Props for outdoing themselves yet again.

Don’t worry Loyal Listeners, in NO way do I intend to out-source this site. Well not in the common sense. Rather, I’m simply looking for some back-up to help me provide you with all of the cutting edge gaming news, reviews, and previews you crave. Plus, with a possible change in content on the way *cough* Podcast *cough*, we’re gonna need all the help we can get. So if you  know any gamers with a knack for writing, send’em this way. Applications are to be sent to TimOtto@progaminglife.com.

Also, I’m still working on implementing all the old tech back into the new layout so don’t be surprised to see some major changes in the next few days/weeks.

Hey Loyal listeners,

There’s a big problem that cropped up during our down time, and plenty of people have asked my stance on the issue, so I’m gonna do my best to clear the air.

DO NOT buy Call of Duty: Modern Warefare 2. The game is the bane of computer games. It is as though god himself set a hit-man upon our beloved gaming rigs and we, as consumers, must confront and correct his path.

Welcome to WordPress. This is your first post. Edit or delete it, then start blogging!

Pioneer Valley Gamer’s First Lan Party.

Will be held at four rivers school in greenfield ma, so if you’re in the area or just feel like traveling, drop by and win something.

It’s only $10 if you pay before the day, and only $15 at the door so theres no reason not to show up… unless your preoccupied… Yes unfortunetly I am unable to attend due to a previously scheduled event, but in spirt I’m backing this thing full force.

Peace, Zypher

The Gamestop Indie Contest. is opening it’s eyes to all the indie game developers out there, and you should try to catch them.

First prize is $100,000 US and a scholarship to SMU. Thats some major coinage there.

It does come at a price though, to win you need to submit either a finished game on disc -or- a video describing the game you wish to make… and $100 to cover the costs of the greathall their renting, yeah it baffled me too.

But hey, you gotta do what needs to be done to get noticed in this industry… personally $100 for a raffle ticket is a little steep to me, but w/e.

Peace and Good Luck,

GRID™ on Steam. Is 50% off this weekend, So If you’ve been living under a rock or just haven’t had a chance to see what a modern racing game can be these days, PICK THIS ONE UP NOW!

Admittedly I’m not crazy about race games, I played some Gran Turismo 2 back in the day, and I still rather enjoy some Flat Out… but this game is just fantastic. The graphics are 9/10 at worst, the control is 8/10 at worst and the fun factor is 7/10 at worst, which really says alot considering I Don’t usally enjoy racing games.

I’m immediatly headed to the bank to drop some money in my account for this.

Peace,

~Zypher

Fallout 3 on Steam is 50% off this weekend, and I highly recommend you pick up a copy.

If you’ve got any kind of patience for your video games, then fallout 3 is for you. It’s not your average FPS though, so don’t be fooled. This is more like an FP-RP-S or First Person Role Playing Shooter, and it does take some time to ramp up.

I’ll be combing my couch cushions however, just trying to scrap some change together and pick up fallout 3, It’s that good. Oh and for skills, I’d suggest: Repair, Small Arms, and Medicine.

Peace,

~Zypher

Atari 2600 Slim – Hack a Day.

I’ve gotta admit that Atari predates me by a few, but to those of you who have interest, hack a day has a slimmed down 2600 for you to gawk at.
